Exporting a User Defined Object to a Zip File

Object packaging within web OMW is virtually the same as within OMW, except that it uses zip files to package the UDOs instead of PAR files.

To export a UDO to a zip file, access web OMW.

  1. In web OMW, find the UDO or project that you want to export.

  2. If the UDO or project is available to export, you will see an icon in the Export column of the grid for that row. Click the Export icon.

  3. On the Select Folder form, search for and select the folder to which you want to save the UDO, and then click Save.

Web OMW creates a zip file for your UDO at the specified location. You can copy the zip file to email or portable storage and easily move it to another machine.

  4. Close the File Download form.

Note: You can also export UDOs or projects containing UDOs via zip file using the Work with Repository History (P98700H) application. When you use the Export row exit from this application, the zip file is created from the UDO's most recent F98700H history record and is downloaded to your local client.
