Viewing Design-time Formatting in Forms 2.0

Once a form containing design-time formatting is rendered in Excel, Oracle Smart View for Office provides options for viewing the formatting that is available.

These options are accessed from the Apply button within the Formatting group on the provider ribbon.

Tip:

The Apply options are viewing options only and allow you to display the formatting specified for the form, including formatting from Groovy rules, data validation rules, and format-only rules, in addition to Smart View cell styles and any custom Excel formatting that the user saved on a form.

To apply styles to forms:
  1. Open an Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management Forms 2.0 form and click the Apply button within the Formatting group in the provider ribbon; for example, in the Planning ribbon.

The Apply options are displayed, as shown in Figure 21-19. The initial state before any option is selected is that no option is selected. Once an option is selected, the last option selection will be preserved the next time the form is opened.

    Figure 21-19 Apply Options

Shows the Apply options: None, Cell Styles, Custom Styles, Custom and Cell Styles.
  2. Select an option:
    • None—Applies no styles (design-time formatting, custom Excel formatting or Smart View cell styles) to the sheet. Though design-time formatting, cell styles, and Excel custom styles may exist on the sheet, none are shown when selecting this option. They are preserved, however, if you want to display them later using the Cell Styles, Custom Styles, or Custom and Cell Styles options.

    • Cell Styles—Applies cell styles defined in Smart View, data validation rules, and Groovy rules. No formatting rules or Excel custom formatting are applied.

    • Custom Styles—Applies formatting rules that were defined in the Format/Validation Rule Builder at design-time, and any Excel custom formatting that was added in Smart View. Cell styles, Groovy rule formatting, and data validation rule formatting are not applied.

    • Custom and Cell Styles—Applies Groovy rules, design-time formatting rules (data validation and format-only), all cell styles, and custom Excel formatting to the form.

The option selection is immediately applied and displayed on the form.

To view how design-time formatting rules are defined and the effect of the Apply option on the form, see the "Format Rule Scenarios" topic in the administration guide of your business process. For example, in Administering Planning, see Format Rule Scenarios.
