Use Sales Order Items to Create Different Types of Services Contracts
For Service Contracts originated from Oracle Order Management, the Contract Item Type for each Sales Order item will be used to determine the type of contract created, depending on whether the item requires a warranty, subscription, or service agreement. If the lines on a Sales Order have a variety of item types, this will result in the creation of multiple Service Contracts.
Steps to Enable
To use this feature you must set the OKS: Category for Order Management Originated Contracts profile option's value to Derive from Contract Item Type. This setting will enable the profile to create service contracts with categories that are derived from the item types of the sales order lines.
