Capture Additional Information for EAM Work Requests and Work Orders

The updated Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Oracle Quality integration captures additional quality details for assets during EAM work order and operation completion transactions. You can now:

You can now use the following new quality collection elements to capture quality data during EAM work order and operation completion transactions:

  • Work Request Type
  • Work Order Type

Add Work Order Type and Department collection triggers for EAM work order and operation completion transactions. Setting up these collection triggers enables you to view those quality plans that match either the work order type or department.

For example, when performing maintenance operations on an asset, you can increase operational efficiency by using the Department collection trigger to display quality collection plans for only the relevant departments such as Electrical or Mechanical or Inspection that the operation belongs to.

Select the View Quality Results link on the Assets page Quality Plans section to search for results based on collection plan element values. View the Visited column on the Assets page Quality Plans section to confirm whether you entered quality results in a current session.

The enhanced Assets page Quality Plans section improves visibility of quality results entry during a current session and enables viewing of previously entered quality results for an asset.

Prior to Release 12.2.15, the Work Request Type and Work Order Type collection elements and the Work Order Type and Department collection triggers were not available for EAM work order and operation completion transactions. The capability to view quality results and confirm whether you entered quality results in a current session were not available.
