Choose Approval Option for Mass Change Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

In Oracle Engineering, you can now approve Mass Change Orders either through an approval process or automatically approve based on the change type used on the mass change order.

With this capability, you have the required approval control for both Mass Change Orders as well as Engineering Change Orders.

Prior to Release 12.2.15, Mass Change Orders were automatically approved, while ECOs can be routed for approval.

As shown in the example below, you can select the change type in the Mass Change Order and specify the priority and approval list in the Approvals window to define the approval process.

Tips And Considerations

Existing change types configured for approval process for Engineering Change Orders can be used for Mass Change Orders. If you want to create a different approval work flow, you can create a new change type for Mass Change Orders approval process.
