Schedule Bulk Pick Creation for Work Order Fulfillment
In Release 12.2.15, you can run a concurrent process to build bulk picks at any time subsequent to Component Pick Release. With this feature, the bulk pick processing is now the same for sales orders and manufacturing work orders.
Prior to this release, the application would attempt to build bulk picks for WIP jobs only when the jobs were released via the Component Pick Release.
Generate Bulk Tasks for WIP Jobs
You can use the concurrent program Generate Bulk Task for WIP Jobs to create bulk tasks for discrete WIP work orders. The application groups all lines that are allocated the same component from the same location into a single large task, so that the operator can pick multiple WIP Jobs in a single step and then deconsolidate them while dropping the tasks. This concurrent program can create bulk tasks for both the PJM-enabled and non PJM-enabled organizations.
Restrictions:
- The material status must be unreleased.
- The material should not be released with a status of order picking.
- The material should not be cartonized.
- WIP component bulk picking is not applicable to lot and serial controlled items.
