Verifing and Accessing Apache Ranger

  1. Access Apache Ambari.
  2. From the side toolbar, under Services select Ranger.
  3. Select Actions, and then select Run Service Check.
  4. From the Quick Links section, select Ranger Admin UI. If this doesn't work, you might need to update the IP address in etc/hosts. Alternatively, you can access the Ranger Admin UI using the following URL. To sign in, use admin as the username and password you provided in step 6 of Configuring Apache Ranger in Apache Ambari.

    URL for Big Data Service 3.0.4 and later clusters:

    https://<un0-host-ip>:6182

    URL for Big Data Service 3.0.3 and earlier clusters:

    http://<un0-host-ip>:6080

    The Big Data Service Version is displayed on the Cluster Information tab of the Cluster details page.
