Geographic Edition Properties for SRDF
This appendix provides the properties of Geographic Edition data replication components for
SRDF.
This appendix contains the following sections:
SRDF Protection Group and Data Replication Component Properties
The following table describes the SRDF properties that the Geographic Edition software
defines.
Table 8 SRDF Properties
|
|
Protection Group Property: Cluster_dgs (string array)
|
Lists the Oracle Solaris Cluster device groups where the data is written. The list is comma
delimited. Solaris Volume Manager disk sets are specified as
local-cluster[disk-set]:remote-cluster[disk-set].
Only applications that belong to the protection group should write to these device groups. The
Oracle Solaris Cluster device groups must exist and have the same name on both the primary cluster
and the secondary cluster.
Tuning recommendations: This property can only be tuned
when the protection group is offline.
Category: Optional
Default: Empty
|
Data Replication Component Property: DG_or_CG (string)
|
Specifies the type of SRDF component: device group (DG) or SRDF
consistency group (CG).
Tuning recommendations: This property must be set to
DG.
Category: Required
Default: DG
|
Protection Group Property: Nodelist (string array)
|
Lists the host names of the machines that can be primary for the replication mechanism. This
list is comma delimited.
Tuning recommendations: This property can be tuned at any
time.
Category: Optional
Default: All nodes in the cluster
|
Data Replication Component Property: R1_SID (string)
|
Specifies the primary (RDF1) EMC Symmetrix ID of the EMC Symmetrix devices.
Tuning recommendations: You can tune this property at any
time.
Category: Required
Default: None, until you add a Symmetrix Remote Data
Facility data replication component.
|
Data Replication Component Property: R2_SID (string)
|
Specifies the secondary (RDF2) EMC Symmetrix ID of the EMC Symmetrix devices.
Tuning recommendations: You can tune this property at any
time.
Category: Required
Default: None, until you add a Symmetrix Remote Data
Facility data replication component.
