Before you begin
For information on setting up readers, see Configuring and Monitoring Readers.
You can modify the properties associated with a reader already deployed. For example, to modify the Socket Timeout property associated with a RFID reader, use this procedure to edit the reader configuration and redeploy it to the Edge Server.
The Readers page lists RFID readers that are configured for the Edge Server.
The Edit Reader page displays the device name and properties.
Properties that must be filled in display an asterisk (*) to the right of the field. Keep or modify property values according to your needs and the device type you are configuring, see Configuration Options.
Consult the RFID Reader Reference or manufacturer’s manual for your reader for more information on these properties and their allowable values.
