Import ECSpecs


Import an ECSpec stored in the file system (as an XML file) into the Edge Server.

To import an ECSpec:

  1. In the left pane of the Console, expand the node for an Edge Server and select ECSpecs.
  2. In the ECSpecs table, click Import.
  3. On the ECSpec Import page, click Browse to locate an ECSpec file on the machine from which you are currently browsing.
  4. In the Choose File window, select the ECSpec file that you want to import and click Open.
  5. On the ECSpec Import page, specify the ECSpec Name.
  6. Click Deploy.

Result

Deploys this ECSpec using the name you specified (equivalent to define in the ALE API). See Programming with the ALE and ALEPC APIs.

After you finish

(Optional) Test ECSpecs.
