Test ECSpecs

Before you begin

Configure ECSpecs


Test an ECSpec using "Activate Once". After the ECSpec has completed one activation (the start and stop conditions have been met), the RFID Console will generate a test report. If the test is successful, the Console will display the XML report data from the Edge Server.

To generate a test report for an ECSpec:

  1. In the left pane of the Console, expand the node for an Edge Server and select ECSpecs.
  2. In the ECSpecs table, select the radio button next to the ECSpec you want to test.
  3. Click Activate Once.

Result

The Console displays the XML report data from the Edge Server.

Note: Testing an ECSpec will turn on any readers used by that ECSpec.
