Configuration Requirements

WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1 Virtual Edition 1.2 (WLS-VE 10.0 v1.2) consists of an ISO image for WLS 10.0 MP1 (wlsve1001.iso) and BEA Liquid VM 1.2 (bundled) supported on VMware Virtual Infrastructure. The following sections provides support information on WLS-VE 10.0 V1.2:

WLS-VE 10.0 V1.2 Requirements

This release of WLS-VE supports VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.0.0 and higher. See http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vi_pubs.html for detailed information on hardware support for VMware Virtual Infrastructure.

Note: This release of WLS-VE does not support:

NFS-servers shipped in standard BSD operating systems such as FresBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD or derivatives.
NFS-servers included with Windows Services for Unix on Microsoft Windows.

Supported Operating Systems for the WLS-VE Launcher

The launcher is the machine on which you execute the WLS-VE installation program and initiate the creation of virtual machines on the VMware ESX machine. BEA supports the WLS-VE launcher on:

Any BEA JRockit 5.0 32-bit JVM on x86 hardware. See BEA JRockit 5.0 Supported Configurations.
A Linux or Windows guest OS on VMware ESX Server 3.0 and higher on ESX supported hardware platforms. See http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vi_pubs.html.
