Known Issues

Customers wishing to use the Apache 2.0 plug-in should use the Web server on which the plug-in was certified: IBM HTTP Server version 2.0.42.	Download the IBM HTTP Server from: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/webservers/httpservers/index.html
Servers may fail on startup with a broken pipe or a connection reset by a peer.	Try removing the loopback entries from the default routing table. For more information, see http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21040968
The default buffer size for `UDP_SENDSPACE` is 9216 (9k), but fragments sent by WebLogic Server may be up to 32K, so using a buffer size smaller than 32k may cause an IO Exception.	1. `S`et the buffer size to 32 Kb by issuing the following command: `no -o udp_sendspace=32768` 2. Reboot WebLogic Server.
The Apache 2.0 plug-in is certified with the IBM HTTP Server Version 2.0.42.	Use the IBM HTTP Server v2.0.4.2. You can download it from: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/webservers/httpservers/index.html

IBM JVM Updates For DST

IBM has released a Timezone Update Utility to update DST data without the need to upgrade Java. See IBM Time Zone Update Utility for Java^TM.

Download and Installation Instructions

If you plan to run WebLogic Server 7.0 SP2 on IBM AIX, you must use IBM SDK 1.3.1 32-bit PTF 2 (APAR IY33957). Because this package is not delivered with WebLogic Server, you must download and install it manually before installing WebLogic Server on your system. You cannot use an older version of the IBM SDK, even if one is already installed on your system.

To download and install the SDK, complete the following procedure:

Go to the following IBM Web site:

When prompted, set the search criteria for the SDK as follows.

Search by	APAR number or abstract
Search String	IY33957

Download and install the SDK.

Verify that the PTF 2 APAR IY33957 is applied, by running the following command:

$ instfix -ivqk IY33957

Installing WebLogic Server 7.0 SP2

The WebLogic Server installation commands for AIX are different from those used to install WebLogic Server on other operating systems. To install WebLogic Server on your AIX configuration, use one of the following commands:

For graphical-mode installation:

java -Djdk.check.override=true -classpath (net_)pj_platform702_generic.jar com.bea.installer.BEAInstallController

For console-mode installation:
