OCI Batch Service – Release Version 1.0.2.0

With this release, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Batch Service includes the following updates and enhancements:

  • Added Group Tasks to model hierarchical task groupings with scoped dependencies and clearer support for layered workflows.
  • Improved task execution visibility and logging by showing execution IDs, start and end times, task lifecycle transition times, fleet shape, container creation and failure details, and execution error details.
  • Added job and task lifecycle event visibility to help track state transitions and drive notifications or history views.
  • Changed the job lifecycle so that new jobs remain in the WAITING state until any tasks enter the IN PROGRESS state.
  • Increased the task argument length limit from 256 to 2048 characters.
