Host applications generally manage most library operations. However, you can use the GUI to manage and operate the library as needed.

Turn the Library On/Off

• Set the Library Online or Offline
• Turn Off the Library
• Turn On the Library
• Restart the Library or Reboot Library Operating System

Manage Tape Cartridges

• Move or Mount a Tape Cartridge
• Enter Tapes Through a CAP
• Eject Tapes Through a CAP
• Import/Export Tapes in System Cells
• Lock or Unlock a CAP

Manage Drives

• Force a Drive to Unload a Tape Cartridge
• Set a Drive Online or Offline
• Turn a Drive On or Off
• Reset a Drive (Power Cycle the Drive)
• Manually Clean a Drive
