System Requirements
Verify that the system fulfills the following minimum requirements. In general, having more resources in the system improves a system's performance.
-

Minimum of 2 logical CPUs up to 2048 logical CPUs
-

Minimum x86-64-v2 micro architecture level for CPUs when installing on x86_64 hardware Tip: If you're unsure whether the hardware satisfies the required micro architecture level, consider installing an earlier version of Oracle Linux and run the following command: sudo /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 --help | grep x86-64-vIf the output includes (supported, searched), next to the micro architecture level, then that level is supported on the CPU. For example, the following shows that micro architecture levels 2 and 3 are supported but not 4: sudo /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 --help | grep x86-64-v x86-64-v4 x86-64-v3 (supported, searched) x86-64-v2 (supported, searched)
-

The ARMv8 instruction set when installing on aarch64 hardware Tip: To check whether the hardware satisfies the requirement for aarch64 v8, run the following command: uname -mIf the output is aarch64orarm64, the system supports aarch64.
-

1.5 GB of memory per logical CPU, up to a maximum of 64 TB
-

At least 10 GB of disk space (20 GB is the recommended minimum)
-

On UEFI systems, ensure that the target disk uses GPT (GUID Partition Table), as some UEFI firmwares don't accept UEFI/MBR boot
