2 Supported Architectures

WARNING:

Oracle Linux 7 is now in Extended Support. See Oracle Linux Extended Support and Oracle Open Source Support Policies for more information.

Migrate applications and data to Oracle Linux 8 or Oracle Linux 9 as soon as possible.

The Oracle Linux 7.9 release is supported on the following platforms:

  • Intel 64-bit (x86_64)

  • AMD 64-bit (x86_64)

  • 64-bit Arm (aarch64)

    The 64-bit Arm (aarch64) platform is available with supported Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK) releases only, as documented in these release notes. For more details, see Release-Specific Information for Oracle Linux 7.9 (aarch64).

Oracle Linux on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Oracle Linux images for Oracle Linux 7 are available for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and can be installed on compute instances. Refer to these release notes in conjunction with the release notes that are available for Oracle Linux 7 images for more details.
