Remove an application or module from a domain


An installed application or module remains available in the domain to stop, restart, or update until you explicitly remove it. To temporarily make a deployed application unavailable to WebLogic Server clients, consider stopping it instead of deleting it. For more information, see Stop applications and modules. Once you delete an application or module from a domain, you must redeploy it to make it available to a WebLogic Server client again.

To delete an application or module from a domain:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Deployments.
  3. In the Deployments table, select the check boxes next to the deployments you want to remove.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Click Yes to confirm your decision and remove the application or module.

    If you later want to redeploy the removed application or module, follow the instructions in Deploy applications and modules.

  6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
