Preface

This document describes building WebLogic Server e-commerce applications using the Jakarta EE Platform.

Audience

This document is written for application developers who want to build WebLogic Server applications using the Jakarta EE Platform. It is assumed that readers know Web technologies, object-oriented programming techniques, and the Java programming language.

WebLogic Server applications are created by Java programmers, Web designers, and application assemblers. Programmers and designers create modules that implement the business and presentation logic for the application. Application assemblers assemble the modules into applications that are ready to deploy on WebLogic Server.
