Configure Settings for Canvas Layout Templates

You can configure settings for canvas layout templates to determine whether users are able to see and update them when they create workbooks. For example, you might want to hide a particular canvas layout template from users, or prevent users from updating a canvas layout template.

As a content author you must have the Manage Layouts and Themes, and Create and Edit Shared Layouts permissions to configure these settings.

  1. In the Oracle Analytics Home page, click the Navigator, and then click Console.
  2. Click Layouts and Themes, select an option:
    • Visible - Select to display a layout template to users.
    • Visible - Deselect to hide a layout template from users.
  3. Right click a layout template, select an option:
    • Make Read-write - Select to make a layout template readable and writable.
    • Make Read-only - Select to make a layout template read only.
    • Delete - Select to delete a layout template.
