Generate a Document of Semantic Model Mappings
Use the Export Lineage utility to output a CSV file containing the mappings from the presentation columns to the corresponding logical and physical columns.
You can use the output file to understand the relationships and dependencies among the semantic model's elements. For example, you can find out which logical columns are affected if you delete a specific physical column, or how many places in a business model refer to a specific physical table.
The output file includes conditional expressions associated with the columns. The outputted CSV file shows the mappings between the presentation and physical layers in the current semantic model. The file doesn't include information about semantic model variables.
Note:
Running the Export Lineage utility can take a long time. Semantic Modeler isn't available while it's running the export.- On the Home page, click Navigator and then click Semantic Models.
- In the Semantic Models page, click a semantic model to open it.
- In the semantic model editor, click Page Menu, and then select Export Lineage.
- In the Name field, modify the default name if necessary.
- Click Export.
