Change a Database Object's Database Type

When you import the physical schema into the physical layer, the database type is assigned automatically. In some cases you need to change the database type.

The physical database's Database Type property field displays Hive when your physical database uses any Hive data source connection, for example Apache Hive, Hortonworks Hive, and MapR Hive.

  1. On the Home page, click Navigator and then click Semantic Models.
  2. In the Semantic Models page, click a semantic model to open it.
  3. Click Physical Layer Physical layer icon.
  4. Locate and double-click a database.
  5. In the database's tab, click General.
  6. Click the Database Type field and select a database type.
  7. Click Save.
