Update a kit returned by a subject to reconcile kits

You can reconcile kits with the following statuses: Damaged by Subject, Dispensed, Misallocated, or Lost by Subject. Ask subjects to bring any unused investigational product to their next dispensation visit and update accordingly. We recommend reconciling kits as the study progresses.

Note:

Kits in certain statuses can not be directly updated to the statuses described in this task. For more information see Allowed updates for inventory status.

  1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For more information, see Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. Filter your view based on several criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
  4. In the table, locate the subject who returned a kit.
  5. Select the checkbox to the left of the subject.
  6. On the right in Subject History, click the menu icon (Menu icon is made of three lines placed under each other)next to the kit that is missing or damaged at your site.
  7. From the drop-down, select Reconcile.
  8. On the Inventory Management pop-up, from the Kit Status drop-down, select Returned to Site.
  9. Specify the number of returned and missing units and an optional reason. You can specify a whole number or decimal value for the returned and missing units.

    Note:

    If you cannot see these fields, reach out to your clinical supply manager and make sure Kit Reconciliation is set as required in the study's supply settings. Refer to What if a site user can't see the Returned Units and Missing Units fields?
  10. Click Update Kit.
