Kits and dispensation FAQs
- Can I conserve a kit and re-dispense it during any of the next visits?
Studies that allow kit conservation have two options, conserving kits from either the most recent dispensation visit or from any previous dispensation visit. Your CRA or study materials can help you figure out whether the study allows kit conservation, and if so, which option is allowed. - Can I dispense a subject's conserved kits to another subject?
No. The system doesn't let you dispense a subject's conserved kits to other subjects in the study. - Can I dispense misallocated kits again?
You can also dispense kits with a Misallocated status to subject who haven't been randomized yet, and are not in an Active state. - Can I still dispense kits if titration isn't allowed?
You can still dispense kits if titration isn't allowed. The subject just maintains the dose they received in the last dispensation visit. - How do I dispense the same device to another subject?
If you want to dispense a device that was already dispensed to another subject, you need to work with the clinical supply manager on your team to make sure the kit is correctly updated in the site's inventory. - Learn the details of performing a dose hold
Whether you're a site user or an investigator, dose holds give you the ability to pause dispensation of the investigational product within the boundaries that are defined in your study. - What do I do with kits that can't be conserved?
If a reusable kit can't be conserved by the system, you need to perform kit reconciliation. - What is the workflow for dispensing Unblinded Pharmacist kits?
Unblinded Pharmacist kits can only be dispensed by a pharmacist or an unblinded site user in the study. Blinded site users are never allowed to dispense these kits, but receive a notice to see their pharmacist instead. - Available inventory statuses for kits
Kit statuses allow you to manage shipments and inventory in your study. Here's a list of every status a kit might have in Oracle Clinical One Platform and their descriptions. - Where can I view unblinding details during an open-label period?
You can view subjects' current treatment arms and kit details during an open-label period. - Why are barcodes useful in a study?
Whether you're a clinical supply manager or a site user, here's why barcodes are useful for you.
