In a live study, when a question's answer field gets automatically locked, data related to that question becomes read-only for you.

To edit an automatically locked question's values in a form, you must contact the designated sponsor representative to notify them and give a reason for the change. After documenting the decision, the sponsor user reviews your request against study guidelines or protocol for change, and determines if they unlock the data for you to edit it.

Based on the established protocol, the sponsor user notifies you about the next steps. If approved, the question will be unlocked so that you can update it.
