Details about reimporting data

Learn how reimporting data affects the data in your study.

What should you know about reimporting data?

  • A Current Value column, when viewing EHR data, indicates a previous import of the data and reflects the current data in the study.
  • You can import EHR data as often as needed to ensure you have the latest data for your subjects. When you do this, Oracle Clinical One Platform overwrites the previously imported data. The Answer & Visit History side panel tracks these actions.
  • If a previously imported record or value matches the current record or value selected for reimport, no update is applied upon import, and nothing is added to the Answer & Visit History side panel.
  • When you manually delete a previously imported value or row before re-importing data, the study views the subsequent import as new data.

What should you know about reimporting data in a repeating table?

  • If you manually clear or update all previously imported items in a row, it no longer qualifies as an EHR import. Reimporting the same data results in a new row.
  • If you partially manually clear or update previously imported items in a row, it still counts as an EHR import. It is considered an update if you subsequently reimport the same data.
