Managing Interface Users
Each interface (OXI, OEDS, OFIS, and FIAS property interfaces) requires an interface service account created for interface authentication and authorization.

Managing Legacy Integration : Managing interface users for legacy interfaces such as OXI, OEDS, OFIS, and FIAS is integral to maintaining secure and efficient operations within OPERA Cloud. These legacy interfaces require dedicated service accounts for secure authentication and authorization.

Managing Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform Integration (OHIP) : The Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP) Interface user migration is part of the OPERA Cloud conversion from SSD to OCIM. The OHIP integration requires an integration user account to ensure secure authentication and authorization.
Note:
OHIP Integration users must select OHIP as the Interface Type.Adding Interface Users

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Role Manager, User Management, Interface Users, and then select Manage Interface Users.

Click New and complete the following fields:

Organization: Search and select the Organization.

Interface Type: Select the Interface Type from the list.

Partner name: Enter the name of the partner registered with the OHIP interface. (This field is available only for OHIP integration users).

Business Email: Enter the admin email for password expiry notifications.

Click Save.

The interface user credentials are displayed.

Click Show to view the Interface Key.

Hide: Click to hide the Key Details.

Click Copy to copy Interface Key value to the clipboard.

Click Save.

Accessing Interface Users

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Role Manager, User Management, Interface Users, and then select Manage Interface Users.

Enter search criteria, then click Search.

The interface users associated with the selected chain/property will appear in the search results.
Resetting Interface User Passwords
Use to reset the password in the event the existing password is forgotten. Note that for Interface Type IFC, the user credentials will be managed through automatic rotation You do not need to reset the password for any IFC users.
The interface user credentials are valid for 365 days from the creation date or the last password reset. A series of reminder emails is sent to the Business Email address at 30, 15, 7, 3, and 1 day before the password expires. The email contains a message like the following:
Hello <User ID>, Your Interface Account password will expire in 3 days. Please change password timely to avoid being locked out.

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Role Manager, User Management, Interface Users, and then select Manage Interface Users.

Organization: Search and select the Organization.

User ID: Enter the user ID of the account that requires a password reset.

Interface Type: Select the Interface Type from the list.

Click Search.
-
Select the interface user in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Reset Password.

Click Reset Password.

You see a message: Please keep Interface id and key secured. These credentials will be valid for one year.

Click OK.

On the Interface User screen:

Click Show to view the Interface Key.

Click Copy to copy the Interface URL to the clipboard.

Click Save.

Inactivating Interface Users

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Role Manager, User Management, Interface Users, and then select Manage Interface Users.

Enter search criteria, then click Search.

Select the interface user in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Inactivate User.

A confirmation message will appear asking: Are you sure you want to inactivate the user?

Click OK to confirm.
Unlocking Interface Users
Note:
The Unlock User functionality is available with OPERA Cloud versions 24.4 and higher.-
From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Role Manager, User Management, Interface Users, and then select Manage Interface Users.

Organization: Search and select the Organization.

User ID: Enter the user ID of the account that requires a password reset.

Interface Type: Select the Interface Type from the list.

Click Search.

Select the interface user in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Unlock User.
Note:
The Unlock User option is displayed only for locked users. -
A confirmation message stating: User <User ID> has been successfully unlocked is displayed.

Click OK.
