Managing Accompanying Guests

When the Accompanying Guest  OPERA Control is active you can also link additional guest profiles as accompanying guests; identifying someone who is also occupying the room but does not require a separate reservation account or has independent stay dates.

When the Print Registration Cards for Accompanying Guests OPERA Control is active you can generate a registration card for accompanying profiles linked to the reservation. You can also search for reservations by accompanying guest names in Manage Reservations search. If the guest requires a separate folio or has staggered arrival or departure dates use the Shares option instead. For more information, see Managing Reservations Shares

When the Accompanying Guest (Age) Threshold for Mandatory Relationship OPERA Control is set and the Relationships OPERA Control is active, you are prompted that a Relationships and Birth Date are required.

When the Attach and Detach Accompanying Guest OPERA Control is active, you can detach an existing accompanying guest from a reservation, allowing you to keep the guest recorded on the reservation. The Attach and Detach functionality also records the date and time when detached or attached to a reservation. You can still delete an Accompanying Guest from a reservation if you no longer wish to associate the guest with the reservation. Inactive styling is displayed when a detached Accompanying Guest exists, and the Show Detached action link is selected.

Adding Accompanying Guests

When the Attach and Detach Accompanying Guest OPERA Control is active, the Attach action is enabled when viewing detached accompanying guest.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud  menu, select Bookings , select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, then click I Want To . . . and select Accompanying Profile or open the reservation presentation and click Accompanying Profile.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. Click New to link a profile.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

      Note:

      Click Create Guest Profile to create a new profile. For more information, see  Creating a Guest or Contact Profile.
    2. Select a profile in the search result, then click Select.

    3. Click Save.

  6. Click Save or click Save and Edit Stay Details to launch Manage Reservation.

Updating Accompanying Guest Details

Tip:

Click Show Masked Information to unmask the Birth Date and  ID Number details; this action requires the View Identification Details task.

Tip:

Click Refresh to update details displayed after updating an accompanying profile.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud  menu, select Bookings , select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, then click I Want To . . . and select Accompanying Profile or open the reservation presentation and click Accompanying Profile.

  4. Select a profile listed in the Accompanying Profile section.

    1. Click a guest profile link to update the profile. For more information, see Managing a Guest or Contact Profile.

    2. Click Add Relationship to add a relationship with the primary profile. For more information, see Managing Profile Relationships.

Deleting Accompanying Guests

  1. From the OPERA Cloud  menu, select Bookings , select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, then click I Want To . . . and select Accompanying Profile or open the reservation presentation and click Accompanying Profile.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. Select the accompanying guest, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  6. Click Delete to confirm.
