Configuring Channel Publication

Channel Publication allows you to publish and view ARI publications to the channel. The screen also allows you to synchronize the Content of Property, Channel Room Types and Channel Rate plans to Channels which support on-boarding flow.

Note:

 Ensure you have the necessary Channel Management tasks at property level assigned in OPERA Cloud Distribution.

Requesting New ARI Publications

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Publication.

  2. Click Create Channel Publication.

  3. Select the ARI Publication Type and complete the following:

    1. Begin Date: Enter the start date of the publication. This field is required.

    2. End Date: Enter the end date of the publication. This field is required.

    3. Number of Days: This field is automatically filled based on your date range but can be modified, and the end date updates automatically.

    4. Channels: Select one or multiple channels. This field is required. Only channels with Active, Test, and Maintenance status are available for selection. 

    5. Message Type: Select one or multiple message types. This field is required. Allowed Messages types are Inventory, Rate Schedules, Restriction

    6. Room Types: Select one or multiple Room Types you want to process the publication for. This field is required.

    7. Rate Plans: Select one or multiple Rate Plans you want to process the publication for. The field is required when the message type is Rate Schedules or Restrictions. 

    8. Click Create to request the publication.

Requesting New Content Publications

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Publication.

  2. Click Create Channel Publication.

  3. Select Content Publication Type and complete the following:

    1. Channels: Select one or multiple channels. This field is required. Only channels with New, Test, Active and Maintenance status and Property Onboarding and ARIPush enabled are available for selection.

    2. Message Type: Select one or multiple message types. This field is required. Allowed Messages types are Content Property, Content Rooms, Content Rate Plan

    3. Click Create to request the publication.

Viewing Publication Details

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Publication.

    The results are auto populated for all channels.

  2. Select the search criteria to filter the results. Following search criteria is supported:

    1. Channel: Select one or more channels for which the publication need to be viewed for. 

    2. Status: Select one or more Statuses. Allowed statuses are NEW, SUCCESS, WARNING, FAILED.

  3. Click the refresh icon icon to refresh your Channel Publication data.

  4. From the search results, select a record from the left panel to view the Publication details.

  5. To view the details of a specific task, click the view icon icon in the Actions column.

  6. Click Next button to see the next offer details.

  7. Click Previous button to see the previous offer details.

  8. Click Close icon icon to return to the Channel Publication details.
