About Profile Purge

Profile purging involves automatically removing profiles that are no longer active at your chain/property. The Purge Data scheduled routine can purge profiles of all types based on OPERA Control settings for each profile type and various validation checks.

Note:

Activity for the profile purge routine is recorded in the Changes Log for Profile Group and Purge Profile Action Type. For more information, see Viewing Changes Log Details.

The following validation checks are performed before profiles are purged:

  • Profile does not have (keep) History check box selected

  • Profile does not have AR accounts linked to profile

  • Profile does not have relationships to other profiles

  • Profile does not have an reservations with an outstanding balance or open folio status.

  • Profile does not have an active or future reservations

  • Profile does not have outstanding commissions payable.

  • Profile is not linked to active or future Reservations, Blocks, or Sales Activities

  • Profile does not have membership details for a membership type setup with the Exclude Profile From Purge check box selected. For more information, see Configuring Membership Type Membership Handling.

The following Profile OPERA Controls determine profile retention and purge:

When the profile purge routine executes, all guest profiles from Australia, United States, and Japan with last activity greater than 90 days, Last Stay Days are more than 90 days ago, and with less than two stays at the property/chain, are purged. If any of the validation checks are not passed, the profile is not purged.
