Using Batch Profile Update

You can update multiple profiles based on the batch update actions and filter conditions available.

Loyalty badge. Loyalty subscribers can update Extend Points Expiry and Promotion Registration details. The progress of the batch job can be tracked in the OPERA Chain Scheduler.

Note:

Maximum of 1000 profiles can be updated.

Batch Profile Update Process

This is a three step process, first you select the Update Action, followed by the Profile Update Filter to select the profiles to update, and finally the confirmation.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud  menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, then select Batch Profile Update.

  2. Profile Update Actions:

    1. Activate Profile: Activate inactive profiles

    2. Inactivate Profile: Inactivate active profiles

    3. Keyword: (Available when Keyword OPERA Control is active)

      1. New Keyword: Add new keyword to the profiles.

        1. Keyword Type: Select a keyword type from the list.

        2. Keyword: Enter the keyword. 

      2. Update Keyword : Update keyword of a same keyword type for the profiles

        1. Keyword Type: Select a keyword type from the list.

        2. Keyword: Enter the keyword. 

          Note:

          New Keyword or Update Keyword are the actions that would add or update Keyword Type and Keyword to the profiles
      3. Delete Keyword : Delete Keyword from the profiles

    4. VIP Status: (Available when VIP OPERA Control is active)

      1. New VIP Status: Add VIP Code to the profiles.

        1. VIP Code: Select a value from the list.

      2. Update VIP Status: Add VIP Code to the profiles based on the existing VIP Code.

        1. VIP Code: Select a value from the list.

          Note:

          New VIP Status or Update VIP Status are the actions that would add or update VIP to the profiles.
    5. Membership Loyalty badge.

      1. Extend Points Expiry: Extends Membership Points expiry date

      2. Promotion Registration: Add Global Promotion Code to the profiles membership (Available when Membership Promotion OPERA Control is active).

  3. Profile Update Filter

    Note:

    Profile Criteria and Filter Condition are mandatory and the profiles will be filtered based on all the fulfillment of all filter condition.
    1. Existing Profile Update Filter: Select to use an existing filter

      1. Profile Update Filter: Select an existing filter from the list.

    2. New Profile Update Filter : Select to create a new filter

      1. Profile Update Filter: Add a filter name

        Note:

        The filters that are created with New Profile Update Filter can be used in the future using Existing Profile Update Filter.
    3. Profile Criteria

      1. Profile Type: Select a profile type from the list (Contacts available when the Contacts OPERA Control is active).

        Note:

        For Membership Profile Update actions, only Guest and Contact profile type are available.
      2. VIP Code : Select a value from the list.

        Note:

        Available only when New/Update VIP Status Profile action is selected. The VIP Code selected will be the criteria for which profiles are filtered.
      3. Keyword Type: Select a keyword type from the list.

      4. Keyword: Enter the keyword.

        Note:

        Keyword Type and Keyword are only available when New/Update Keyword Profile action is selected. The Keyword Type and Keyword selected will be the criteria for which profiles are filtered.
    4. Filter Condition 

      1. Click Add to setup a filter condition.

      2. Select Profile Number from the list.

      3. Select the IN operator.

      4. Specify one or more values. You can enter a maximum of 1000 comma separated values enclosed in parentheses.

      5. Click Save to save the filter.

  4. Click Save and Process to save the filter and process the updates.

Note:

The job ID is displayed in the Status Message, and progress can be tracked in the OPERA Chain Scheduler.
