Managing Scheduled Room Moves

A scheduled room move in a reservation exists when there is a change in either the Room or Room Type over the course of the reservation’s stay dates within daily details.

You can use theScheduled Room Moves panel on a reservation to view and manage all Scheduled Room moves for a specific reservation. You can view the following details for each Scheduled Room Move.
  • Move Out Room: The room in which the reservation is moving out of.

  • Move Out Room Type: The room type of the room the reservation is moving out of.

  • Move In Room: The room in which the reservation is moving into.

  • Move In Room Type: The room type of the room the reservation is moving into.

  • Scheduled Move Time: The time for the scheduled room move (can be updated from accessing the Scheduled Room Moves panel on the reservation)

  • Move In Room ETD: The estimated departure time of the departing guest in the room in which the reservation is moving into. (Available when the previous guest for the Move In Room has not yet departed, and the Scheduled Move date is equal to the current business date.)

  • Move In Room Reservation Status: The reservation status of the room in which the reservation is scheduled to move into. If the room is currently occupied by another reservation, you can select the guest name hyperlink to be taken to the reservation currently occupying the room. If the Move In Room is not currently occupied, 'Vacant' will be displayed

  • Scheduled Move In Comments: Comments about the scheduled room move (can be added from the Scheduled Room Move Panel on the reservation).

Completing a Scheduled Room Move from the Scheduled Room Moves Screen

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk, select Front Desk Workspace, select Scheduled Room Moves.

    Tip:

    You can also directly access the Room Moves by selecting the Pending or Completed indicators on the Room Moves tile added to your OPERA Cloud dashboard. For more information, see Managing Dashboard Tiles.
  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the reservation, and then select Move Room.

    Note:

    The scheduled room move is indicated by scheduled room move indicator icon.
  4. If a room is already assigned as a Move in Room, it will be pre-populated. For more information, see Moving an In House Reservation.

  5. Select the Select Room link in the Actions column and add Additional Details, if any, and then click Assign Room.

Completing a Scheduled Room Move from a Reservation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservations.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the reservation, and then click I Want to..., and then select Move Room. If a room is already assigned as a Move in Room, it will be pre-populated. For more information, see Moving an In House Reservation.

Completing a Scheduled Room Move Scheduled from Room Moves Panel

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservations.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the reservation, and then select Scheduled Room Moves link

  4. To edit the scheduled room moves:

    1. Select the scheduled room move for the current business date and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

    2. Update the required information and click Save.

  5. To complete the scheduled room move:

    1. Select the scheduled room move for the current business date and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and then select Move Room. For more information, see Moving an In House Reservation.
