Using Channel Messages

You can use Channel Messages screen to review the Inbound and Outbound messages. The From Channels screen allows you to view incoming messages for the property from the channel. The To Channels screen allows you to view outgoing messages for the property to the channel.

Note:

Ensure you have the necessary Messaging tasks in property level assigned in OPERA Cloud Distribution.

Managing Channel Message Details

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Messages.

  2. Channel: Select the channel for viewing the messages. This field is required.

  3. Use the following search criteria to filter the results.
    1. Created From: Select the start date when the messages were generated. By default, your system date is filled.

    2. Created To: Select the end date when the messages were generated. By default, your system date + one day is filled.

    3. Module: Select the module for the channel message.

    4. Status: Select the status for the messages you want to see.

    5. Message Contains: Enter the required word/sentence that appears in a message, and the listing searches and displays the corresponding message.

    6. External Reference: Enter the unique external reference number. This is only valid for From Channels.

    7. Show Discarded and Failed Events only: (Valid only for To Channels). Select to show discarded and failed events only to see them in the listing.

  4. Click anywhere on the screen to get the search results. Only records matching all the selected criteria appear.

  5. Click the Refresh Data to refresh the results and see updated status of message(s).

  6. Click Close icon icon on the Search bar to reset the search data.

Managing Channel Message Details from the HUB level

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Messages.

  2. Use the following search criteria to filter the results.
    1. Property: Select the property from which to view the messages. This field is required.

    2. External System: Select the External System for viewing the messages. This field is required.

    3. Channel: Select the channel for viewing the messages. This field is required.
    4. Created From: Select the start date when the messages were generated. By default, your system date is filled.

    5. Created To: Select the end date when the messages were generated. By default, your system date + one day is filled.

    6. Module: Select the module for the channel message.

    7. Status: Select the status for the messages you want to see.

    8. Message Contains: Enter the required word/sentence that appears in a message, and the listing searches and displays the corresponding message.

    9. External Reference: Enter the unique external reference number. This is only valid for From Channels.

    10. Show Discarded and Failed Events only: (Valid only for To Channels). Select to show discarded and failed events only to see them in the listing. 

  3. Click anywhere on the screen to get the search results. Only records matching all the selected criteria appear.

  4. Click the Refresh Data to refresh the results and see updated status of message(s).

  5. Click Close icon icon on the Search bar to reset the search data.

Viewing Channel Messages Details

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, select Connectivity Messages, and then select Channel Messages.

  2. Enter search criteria and click the view icon icon in the Actions column to view the following channel messages details:

    1. Message Status Badge: Shows the message status.

    2. Response Message: Shows the response message.

    3. Request Message: Shows the request message.

    4. Event ID: Shows the unique event ID

  3. Click Download to see Entire Message to download the message with message status, request message, response message, and event ID.

  4. Click Next button or Previous button to navigate through the listed messages on the slide out panel.

  5. Click Close to return to the Channel Messages.
