Configuring Property Controls

 
Use Property Controls to setup your property defaults to ensure error-free data exchange in the event of code mapping discrepancies with the distribution channels or your Property Management System (PMS).

Note:

Ensure you have the necessary Channel Management module tasks at the property level assigned in OPERA Cloud Distribution.

Adding Property Controls

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, then select Property Controls.

  2. Property Controls

    Complete the following Property Controls. These are required single select fields.

    1. Default Market Code: Select values from the list of values.

    2. Default Source Code: Select values from the list of values.

    3. Default Room Type: Select values from the list of values.

    4. Default Rate Plan: Select values from the list of values.

    5. Default Guarantee Code: Select values from the list of values.

    6. Default Cancellation Reason: Enter maximum 50 characters (this is optional input text field).

  3. Rate Controls

    1. Complete the following for Rate Controls to define Child Age Groups.

      In Rate Controls panel you can define Child Age Groups. Enter the Age Group From and Age Group To for each group. If you define a From age group, you are required to define a To age.

      Child Age Group 2 From (4 years) Child Age Group 2 To (8 years)
      Child Age Group 3 From (9 years) Child Age Group 3 To (12 years)
    2. Select the Derive Rates from Base Rate for Extra Persons check box to activate this setting.

  4. Alert Email Addresses

    Complete the following to receive alert notifications, for example, failover, reservations. 

    1. Click Add Email to define a new email address. You can add only one email address at a time.

      1. In the Actions menu:

        1. Select check mark to select the email to confirm the email address.

        2. Select Icon to remove the email address to remove the email address.

        3. Click the Pencil icon to edit icon to edit the email address.

        4. Click the Delete icon to delete an email. icon to delete the email address.

Updating Property Controls

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, then select Property Controls.

  2. Click Update to update the details.

  3. Click Save.

Viewing Changes Logs

View changes logs records and displays the actions performed during create and edit flows.

  1. From the Administration menu, select Distribution, then select Property Controls.

  2. In the Changes Log slide out panel, search and select the From Date, Type, or User to search the changes logs.
