Configuring Channel Availability

Channel availability assesses the public's lowest rates across multiple channels for a property, along with their availability and offers.

Note:

Ensure you have the necessary Shop module tasks property level assigned in OPERA Cloud Distribution.

Managing Channel Availability

  1. From the Administration menu , select Distribution, then select Channel Rate Plans.

  2. Use the following search criteria to manage the channel availability:

    1. Channel: Select one or multiple Channels. The list shows all channels with Active, Maintenance, or Test provision status where Offer Validation is set. This field is required.

    2. Check In Date: Select the Check-In Date. By default, it shows today’s date. This field is required.

    3. Nights: Enter the number of stay nights (Allowed from 0 to 14). The default number is 1. This field is required.

    4. Check Out Date: Select the Check out Date. By default, it shows the next day. This field is required. When the number of nights are changed, check out date is auto adjusted based on the check in date.

    5. Adults: Enter the number of adults. By default, it shows 1.

    6. Children: Enter the number of children.

    7. Ages: Enter the age of children according to the number of children by separating with a comma, for example 1, 5. This field is accessible only if number of Children is entered.

    8. Channel Rate Code: Select one or multiple channel rate codes.

    9. Access Code: Enter the access code. It enables you to get the negotiated rate.

  3. Click anywhere on the screen to get the search results. All the matching records are visible. You can view the following:

    1. Channel Name: Shows the selected channels from search criteria.

    2. Currency: Shows the minimum rate and currency.

    3. Status: Shows whether the channel is available for the entered search criteria.

  4. Click close icon icon on the search box to reset / clear the search data.

Viewing Channel Availability Details and Offer Details

  1. From the Administration menu , select Distribution, then select Channel Rate Plans.

  2. Enter the search criteria and click anywhere on the screen to get the search results.

  3. Click on the desired result to view available Rate Codes, and expand the list to see list of room types available. 

  4. Click the view icon icon on the Room Type to view the Offer details.

  5. On the slide out panel, you can see the following offers details:

    1. Room Details

      1. Room Type Code: Shows the code of the room type.

      2. Room Type: Shows the room type description.

      3. Room Category: Shows the name of the room category.

    2. Rate Details

      1. Rate Code: Shows the code of the rate code.

      2. Rate Code Category: Shows the category of the rate code.

      3. Rate Code Type: Shows the type of the rate code.

      4. Access Code: Shows the access code that enables users to get the negotiated rate.

      5. Nights: Number of Stay Nights

      6. Stay Dates: Stay Dates for which the rate is applicable

      7. Currency: Shows the currency of the rate.

      8. Total Amount Before Tax: Shows the total amount of the rate excluding tax.

      9. Total Amount After Tax: Shows the total amount of the rate including tax.

      10. Total Tax Amount: Shows the total tax amount.

      11. Tax Inclusive: Shows if the tax is included.

    3. Policies

      1. Code: Shows the policy code.

      2. Description: Shows the policy description.

      3. Type: Shows the policy type.

      4. Amount: Shows the policy amount.

      5. Percentage: Shows the policy percentage.

    4. Click Next button to see the next offer details.

    5. Click Previous button to see the previous offer details.

    6. Click Close to return to the Channel Availability details.
