OPERA Controls — Profile
The following tables outline the functions, parameters, and settings that can be configured in the OPERA Controls Profile group.

Enables the ability to identify specific guests as incognito and use a pseudonym (celebrities, for example). |

KEYWORD [KEYWORD] |
Allows any number of keywords to be attached to a profile in order to associate a variety of identifying information with the profile. This information can be entered in the Keyword field when searching for profiles and as a filter for reporting. |

Enables the ability to configure profile auto match rules and the ability to manage the auto-merge process result. |

Enables the ability to perform profile lookup in integrated systems and download profiles to OPERA Cloud. |

PROFILE PROTECTION TYPE [PROFILE_PROTECTION_TYPE] |
Enables specifying the type of profile protection. By Profile Type, allows you to configure profile protection rules per profile type. By Profile, enables a protection flag in the profile overview panel of each profile; when active the profile protection rules are then applied. Valid values:

RELATIONSHIPS [RELATIONSHIPS] |
When enabled, various relationships between the profiles can be established. Family relationship such as mother-daughter or corporate relationship such as parent-company and subsidiary are configurable. Rate entitlements (negotiated rates) can also be inherited to related profiles using relationships. (Enabled on activation of OPERA Cloud Sales & Event Management Essentials, Standard or Premium subscription). |

Enables profiles to inherit negotiated rates from associated profile relationships. |

STAY RECORDS [STAY_RECORDS] |
Enables the ability to create, import, and view Stay Records in profile Stay Statistics. Stay Records are yearly statistics of guest stays generated during Night Audit with the "Process Guest Stay Data" procedure, summarized by Revenue Groups, and are the basis for the creation of Membership Transactions, used to calculate member Awards and Tier points. Note: The configuration of Membership Revenue Groups and Membership Revenue Types is required to display revenue summary in Stay Records. With an OPERA Cloud Service, Loyalty subscription, Stay Records can automatically create Membership Transactions. |

VIP [VIP_STATUS] |
Provides the ability to track VIP level on guest profiles and filter reservation searches and reports based on VIP value. Global Alerts and Auto Attach can also reference VIP status. |
