Using the OPERA Cloud Digital Assistant (Video Transcript)

In this video, you will learn how to use  the OPERA Cloud Digital Assistant.

The OPERA Cloud Digital Assistant is a chatbot  that helps you accomplish a variety of tasks

using natural language conversations. You can interact with the Digital Assistant

by using the keyboard or by speaking  through the microphone of the device.

The digital assistant is available for the  OPERA Cloud desktop and mobile applications.

Updates made using the digital  assistant are tracked in the

Changes Log with your user name. At this time, the digital assistant

is only available in English and only  for one specific property at a time.

Let's get started. In the lower right,

click or tap the conversation icon to open  the OPERA Cloud Digital Assistant.

To clear the content of the previous chat,  click the conversation icon with an X on the

top navigation bar of the Digital Assistant. To interact with the digital assistant I can click

the microphone icon and speak through the device  microphone to initiate the conversation.

Or I can type to initiate the conversation. To turn on the digital assistant's audio reply,

I can click the speaker icon and the chatbot  responses will be read out loud.

I can click the speaker icon again  to mute the audio responses.

In this example, I will use the  keyboard to type the conversation.

I enter "Hi" and then click the arrow. Now, I see a list of options.

I click the arrows to scroll  through the available options.

Now, I can check the following options: tonight's  Maximum occupancy, the expected arrivals for

today, or the expected departures for today. Next, I can check a room status or update the

status for a room from clean to dirty. Or I can check in or check out a reservation.

Now, let's take a look at the  house status statistics.

In this example, I type arrivals. Now, I see the options to view

tonight's maximum occupancy, today's  expected arrivals or departures.

In this example, I tap  expected arrivals today.

Now, I see the expected arrivals for  today including the property name,

date, expected number of people and the  number of expected rooms for today's

arrival reservations. I enter arrivals again,

and then click tomorrow. Now, I see the expected arrivals for tomorrow.

Let's check in a reservation. Type check in.

Next, I select the confirmation number option.

I enter the confirmation number  and then click the arrow.

Next, a successful reservation  check in message displays for

I enter "Hi" for a list of available options. I click the arrows to scroll through the options,

and then click Check Room Status. And then I enter a room.

Now, I can see the room is dirty and I have the  option to update the housekeeping room status

or to check another room status. I click update room status
