Managing Out of Service Rooms
Out of Service rooms are not removed from inventory. The out-of- service rooms remain in the availability and can be sold if the need arises. It is possible to assign a reservation to a room in out of service room status.
Note:
Default Reason is specified in OPERA Controls.Adding Out of Service Rooms
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Service. 
- 
                        Click New. 
- 
                        Enter the search criteria and click Search. 
- 
                        Select one or more rooms in the result. 
- 
                        Click Set Out of Service and complete the following: - 
                              Reason: Select the Reason for the out of service status. For more information, see Out of Order and Out of Service Reason Codes. 
- 
                              From Date: Select the desired dates to change the rooms' status. 
- 
                              Nights: Add or remove number of nights for which the room needs to out of service. 
- 
                              Through Date: The room will automatically be returned to inventory during end of day processing for the Through Date 
- 
                              Return Status: Select the status that the room(s) when returned to service.

                        Click Set Out of Service. 
Editing Out of Service Rooms
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Service. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria and click Search. 
- 
                        In the search results, select the Code and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit. 
- 
                        Update the details. 
- 
                        Click Set Out of Service . 
Deleting Out of Service Rooms
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Out of Service. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria and click Search. 
- 
                        From the search results, select the Code and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete. 
- 
                        Click Delete Out of Service to confirm.
