Converting an Event to a Sub Event

When converting an event (sometimes referred to as a regular or standalone event) to a sub event, you must associate the new sub event with a master event. The new sub event inherits the function space, setup, and rate from the master event.

1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, and then select Manage Events.

2. Select or confirm the Property, enter any additional search criteria, and click Search.

3. From your search results, click the regular event’s I Want To . . . action and select Convert To Sub Event from the Modify/Update column.

4. From the Select a Master Event screen:

   1. Select the event for the converted sub event.

   2. Select the Inherit Master Event Space check box if you want the sub event to inherit the same function space as the master event.

   3. Click Save to return to the Manage Events screen.

5. Search Manage Events to refresh the master event and sub event indicators.

Converting a Sub Event to a Regular Event

When converting a sub event to a regular event, no master event is required. You must assign a function space to the event, define the setup, and specify other details as required for regular events.

1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, and then select Manage Events.

2. Select or confirm the Property, enter any additional search criteria, and click Search.

3. From your search results, click the sub event’s I Want To . . . action and select Convert to Regular Event from the Modify/Update column. The sub event converts immediately to a regular event.
