Configuring Welcome Offer Alerts Rules
Welcome offers provide guests with certain options to select on check in, based on the Welcome Offer Options OPERA Control.
- 
                           eCoupons: Select eCoupons to add to a reservation. See Managing Reservation eCoupons. 
- 
                           Items: Select item inventory to add to the reservation. See Reservation Item Inventory. 
- 
                           Post It: Select an article from the Post It screen, post and settle to a PM room. See Charging Purchases Using Post It. 
Welcome Offer Alert rules determine under which conditions the Welcome Offer is presented during check in. See Arrivals - Managing Welcome Offers
Adding Welcome Offer Alerts
- 
                        From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Alerts, and then select Global Alert Definitions. 
- 
                        Click New and enter the following details: - 
                              In the Set Alert Definition section, complete the necessary alert definition fields: - 
                                    Property: Enter or select the property. 
- 
                                    Code: Select the alert code for the welcome offer. 
- 
                                    Description: The description of the message to be displayed, by default upon check in. 
- 
                                    Welcome Offer: Select check box to indicate a Welcome Offer alert. 
- 
                                    Area: Value defaults to Check in and the field is disabled. 
- 
                                    Notification: The Screen check box is automatically selected (Welcome Offer alerts can't be printed; print option is disabled).

                              In the Set Filter Conditions section: - 
                                    Click Add- 
                                             Set up the conditions that need to be satisfied for the Welcome Offer Alert to display.

                                    Click OK.

- 
                        Click Save. 
Editing Welcome Offer Alerts
- 
                        From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Alerts, and then select Global Alert Definitions. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria and click Search. 
- 
                        Select the welcome offer alert, then click the vertical ellipsis and select Edit. 
- 
                        Update the configuration. 
- 
                        Click Save. 
Deleting Welcome Offer Alerts
- 
                        From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Alerts, and then select Global Alert Definitions. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria and click Search. 
- 
                        Select the welcome offer, then click the vertical ellipsis and select Delete. 
- 
                        Click Delete to confirm.
