Preparing the Server to Configure CAPS
- Ensure that the Server has the latest Microsoft Windows patches.
- Turn on the Microsoft Windows features:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

Microsoft IIS

- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1.
- Install the Oracle Database 12c Server database.
- Deselect the pluggable database option.
- Select the database admin user system account or equivalent.
- In the EMC, configure the CAPSOnIIS CAL package for deployment to the Remote Service Host.
- Install the CAL client on the Remote Service Host.
- In the EMC, deploy the CAPSOnIIS CAL Package to the configured
Service Host.
After completion, this package is available in the
[Drive Letter]:\Micros\Simphony\CAPSonIISfolder. - If you are using Oracle Database 12c Release 2 for the
CAPS database, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to
[Drive Letter]:\Micros\Simphony\CAPSOnIIS\Tools\ODP.NET_12CR2, and then follow the instructions in the Readme. - Run the ODP.NET_12CR2.bat under the current directory
with administrator privileges from a command prompt.
During batch file execution, the status appears in the Command Prompt window.
