38 Events
An event is a group of transactions that occur within a specific date and time range across one or more revenue centers at a property. Examples of events include sporting events, banquets, weddings, receptions, and other special occasions.
Defining events allows you to accurately track sales and inventory, especially when multiple events occur on the same business day. For example, separate events can be created for each game in a baseball doubleheader, enabling independent reporting and analysis for each event.
You can configure events in the EMC, update event status and associate checks with specific events at the workstation, view event-related reports in Reporting and Analytics, and import or export event totals.
