Location-Specific Requirements

Locations must meet the following requirements:

  • Failover patterns: The partner or customer is responsible for building failover logic to the local endpoints, as well handling retries and timeouts.
  • Data and privacy: Confirm data flows, retention, and residency requirements; align with enterprise policies.
  • Time sync and accuracy: Ensure device clocks are accurate for signing, certs, and order timing.
  • Cost: Local may incur higher operations cost (provisioning and management); cloud reduces onsite effort.
  • Testing: Validate outage behavior (what you lose on cloud outage vs. what you retain locally) before go‑live. The responsibility for any testing belongs to the integration partner.
  • Local endpoint resides on a workstation. If the workstation loses power or connectivity, the failover option is not available.
