Enabling Simphony Transaction Services for Workstations

The following steps apply to workstations that are currently configured as POS API clients, as well as workstations that will be upgraded to function as POS API clients.

  1. Select the property, click Setup, and then click Workstations.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. In the General Settings section, enable the required STS Gen2 option: Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Location API and/or enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Cloud API.
  4. For each workstation that should run Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2), select Enable Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) Cloud API.
  5. Click Save.

Note:

Oracle Restaurants recommends that locations using Simphony Transaction Services (Gen2) have multiple workstations configured to receive orders. This ensures if one workstation loses its connection or is turned off, other workstations are available to receive orders for the configured revenue center(s).
