Default Hierarchy and Zones

Consider Default Hierarchy and Zones as different structures which coexist and share the same enterprise node. The following diagram shows the relationships between the two:

This diagram displays the ways in which zones can exist within a default hierarchy.

Note:

The EMC hierarchy selector shows a Default System View folder at the same level as the highest zones. This folder is displayed in EMC to group the location records which are located under the enterprise. There is no node in the hierarchy structure for that folder.
