This topic describes the systematic instructions to configure media.

1. From Home screen, click Core Maintenance. Under Core Maintenance, click Media.
2. Under Media, click Create Media.
   The Create Media screen displays.

3. Specify the fields on Create Media screen.

   Note:

   The fields marked as Required are mandatory.

   For more information on fields, refer to the field description table.

   Table 1-73 Create Media – Field Description

   Field	Description
   Media Code	Specify a unique media code used to identify and associate the media with an advice.
   Media Description	Provide additional information or details about the media.
   Media Number	Specify a unique number that identifies the media type.
   Message Terminator	Specify the padded characters used to mark the end of incoming messages.
   Message Suffix	Specify the padded characters used to mark the end of outgoing messages.
   Stop Process	This option is switched off by default. Switch it on to halt the processing of incoming and outgoing messages.
   Padding Required	This option is switched off by default. Switch it on to pad characters in every outgoing message.
   TW (Test Word) Required Status	This option is switched off by default. Switch it on to enable word testing.
   Media Priority	Specify the media priority using the spin box. When a message is dispatched to customers, the media type with the highest priority will be used for sending the messages.
   Number of Character	Specify the number of times the padding characters should be repeated for the advice, using the spin box.
   Media Code	Specify the unique media code used to identify and associate the media with an advice.
   Compatible Media	This option is switched off by default. Switch it on to indicate that the media is compatible.

4. Click + to add media details.
5. Click Save to save the details.
   The media is successfully created and can be viewed using the View Media screen.
