1 The Settlements Service

The Settlements sub-system is part of the core of Oracle Banking Trade Finance. This system is a convenient money settlement service that interfaces with the other modules of Oracle Banking Trade Finance.

In Oracle Banking Trade Finance, there is a close association of Settlements and Messaging systems. The Settlements system provides for a common set up of money settlement accounts and routes. The Messaging system, on the other hand, handles the generation of settlement messages.

To handle money settlements in Oracle Banking Trade Finance, you have to:
  • Maintain Bank Identifier Codes (BIC)
  • Maintain Ultimate Beneficiary details
  • Maintain Settlement Preferences
for a Customer/Module/Currency/Branch or a combination of any of the entities.
