Metrics

Metrics is a standard configuration interface for adding, editing, and removing the different Metrics that have been created in Unified Assurance.

Refer to the Standard Configuration Interface guide for details on interacting with the grid and form.

This user interface calls REST methods from api/metric/metrics.

To open this interface, from the main navigation menu, select Configuration, then Metrics, and then Metrics.

Form Fields

• Device - The device the metric is associated to.

• Instance - The instance the metric is associated to.

• Type - The metric type of the metric.

• Shard - The data for this metric will be stored on this database shard.

• Factor - Amount to factor the metric data when displaying.

• Maximum (Discovered) - Maximum value that was auto-detected for the Metric, or 0 for no maximum. This is used to calculate utilization percentages, and can be overridden by setting a value in the Custom Maximum field.

• Custom Maximum - Custom maximum that is assigned to the Metric, if any. This will override anything in the Maximum (Discovered) field.

• Poll Time - How often metric is polled in seconds.

• Method - Method used to poll the metric.

• Status - The status of the metric.

• Thresholds - The thresholds that have been associated to the metric.
