Collections

Collections is a standard configuration interface for managing topology device configuration collections.

Refer to the Standard Configuration Interface guide for details on interacting with the grid and form, and there are additional controls that are explained in the Grid Details section below.

This user interface calls REST methods from api/config/collections.

To open this interface, from the main navigation menu, select Configuration, then Device Configuration, and then Collections.

Grid Details

• Besides the standard controls, this interface also has the following additional option in the Button Bar:

  • Run - After an existing collection has been selected, click Run button to start gathering the specific collection immediately.

Form Fields

• Profile - The name of agent profile to be used.

• Action - The name of action profile to be used.

• Status - The status of the collection profile.

• Devices - Devices to apply the profile and action to.

Best Practice

• When creating a new collection, multiple devices that should use the same profile and action can be added at once. When updating an existing record, only a single entry may be updated at a time.
