In UIM, the entities are interrelated and you can view this in a Topology diagram using Oracle Communications Active Topology Automator (ATA).

In the topology diagram from ATA, the connections between nodes or entities are shown as edges. You can search for a network and customize your search using the Create New search pane from ATA. You can further search for the required entities or nodes within the network using the Search option. See Active Topology Automator User's Guide for more information.

The following types of entities are supported in ATA:

• Equipment

• Logical Device

• Physical Device

• Pipe

• Connectivity

• Place

• Network Location

• Service Location

• Network

• Service

You can access ATA from UIM using either of the following options:

• In the Inventory - Resources group of the navigation section, click Topology.

  The ATA home page opens.

• From the Summary page of an entity:

  1. Open the Summary page of the entity for which you want to view the topology.

  2. Click Topology.

     The topology diagram opens in ATA.
